We moved into our new house about a year a half ago and kept all of the drapes the previous owners had up. This was not really a problem until about 6 weeks ago when the state of Illinois issued a stay at home order. Cue my 3 year old getting up with the sun before 6 am. Nope. She is typically an early riser having to get up for daycare every day, but this was too much. Having the claim of 100% blackout was enough for me to buy. Her bedroom window faces East and with a little adjusting, we are pretty close to 100% blackout. Her room is pretty dark, too, at nap and bedtime. I give 4 stars because I would have liked an 80" length option. 84" was just too long for my window. I settled on the 72" and while it looks ok, I would have liked them to touch the floor. We have another East facing bedroom and I will be ordering another set.These curtains are awesome!!.....I bought 3 warm beige and one pair of white. They are heavy duty, well made and truly block out the light. One thing though to be cautious about....The white ones I threw in the dryer with a damp towel to get the wrinkles out.......DUH.....one panel now looks like a really cool tie-die...LOL I am hoping when I wash them, that'll come out. The beige I hung as is, and wrinkling from the folds....came out on their own. As I said they REALLY block the hot Florida sun, and help keep it cooler. I definatly recommend......and, if you have to sleep in the daytime,....get theseI purchased them mainly for keeping the cold out but the blackout feature is nice also.Curtains work very well to block out light. I am looking forward to seeing how they do with energy savings as the days get warmer. We had to order a curtain rod designed for blackout curtains because the existing rod (not round) was not robust enough to hold the weight without bowing in the middle. The rod we had is designed for lighter decorative curtains, so we were not entirely surprised. The price is reasonable for what we wanted in a blackout curtain. The color choices are stylish and it is great that the curtain panels can be washed instead of requiring more expensive dry cleaning treatment. Window measurements were easy and the size was perfect. The construction seems sturdy and well-made.I bought 3 sets of these for my bedroom and attached bathroom. We live in the country and have a outdoor light at the sheds behind the bedroom which brings in light at night into the bedroom. And, our dog gets so nervous during lightening storms.I washed then after I was sure they fit the windows-They Did.I washed on cold cycle, and hung them back up-Beautiful!They sure darkened the room, and look wonderful.Thank you for making a quality product and one that is all you say.And, the price was less than I could make them myself!Color is accurate (and pretty) and they are effective at blocking out light or creating privacy at night from others in the neighborhood. I have supplemental grow lights in my room because my house is dark as shit....at night it's bright until I go to bed and turn the lights out. I don't want to compromise my privacy or draw attention. These resolve both.Wish they made these in pocket style because I don't care for the metal O's. They don't seem, to me, to be especially flawlessy straight but they work and serve my purposes.These are by far the best black out curtains I have ever bought. They are really thick so in the cold months it helps keep the cold out. Would definitely recommendThey are so thick they keep all the sun out.
